L.A. Wolves FC Starts Play At USASA Region IV Championships

Wolves SEEKS National Cup BERTH By Winning Three-Day Tournament at SilverLakes

June 2, 2017 -- Los Angeles - L.A. Wolves FC faces one of its biggest weekends if the year, with the winner off to the United Soccer Adult Soccer Association National Cup in August.

L.A. Wolves FC matches up against Oregon-based PSU FC to begin play at the USASA Region IV Championships at SilverLakes Sports Park (5555 Hamner Ave., Norco, CA 92880) at 7 p.m. PT on Friday, June 2.

L.A. Wolves FC President Yan Skwara said, "Here we go. This is a the second biggest tournament on the USASA schedule, and we're ready to get going on our way to the National Cup. We feel we're the best team at this tournament, so we should get maximum points from each game and go through. It's another chance to prove the L.A. Wolves FC is ready to take the next step, and earn some hardware in the process."

In what amounts to a single round of pool play, Wolves FC plays PSU FC on Friday night and follows with two more games (9 a.m. PT vs. FC Long Beach and 4 p.m. PT vs. Colorado-based Union Juarez) on Saturday. The two teams with the most points after Saturday advance to the Region IV Championship game at 10 a.m. PT on Sunday.

The club is currently third in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL)Pro Premier Division Western Conference and will soon announce its next league match.
